What is BrightLoop Local?

BrightLoop Local is a community discovery app for finding local businesses, events, and food trucks in your area.

Think of it like a local “what’s happening” hub that helps you explore and support your community.

Do I need an account to use the app?
You can browse most content without an account. An account may be required for features like saving favorites, submitting updates, or managing a business listing (if enabled in your version).
How do I find things near me?
If you allow location access, the app can show businesses and events closer to you. If you don’t, you can still browse by city/area or use search.

Accounts

Login, password help, and common account questions.

I forgot my password. What do I do?
Use the “Forgot Password” option on the login screen. If you don’t get the email within a few minutes, check spam/junk. If it still doesn’t show up, contact support.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Contact support and we’ll help with account deletion. We may confirm ownership to protect your data.
Why can’t I log in?

Most common causes:

  • Wrong email or password (try reset)
  • Weak connection (switch Wi‑Fi/cellular)
  • App version is outdated (update from the App Store)

Businesses

Listings, hours, contact info, and updates.

How do businesses get listed in the app?
Businesses can be added by BrightLoop, partners, or the business owner (depending on how your app is set up). If you’d like your business listed, reach out using the support link above.
I found wrong info for a business. How do I report it?
If you see incorrect hours, address, phone number, or category, contact support with the business name and the correction. We’ll update it as quickly as possible.
Can I advertise or feature my business in the app?
Yes. App-based placements may be available (featured listings, highlighted posts, or sponsored spots depending on your setup). Contact support and we’ll walk you through options.

Events

Finding events and sharing what’s happening.

Where do events come from?
Events may be submitted by organizers, added by partners, or pulled from public community sources (depending on your setup). If something looks out of date, let us know.
How do I submit an event?
If event submission is enabled, you’ll see an option in the app menu or on the Events page. If you don’t see it, contact support and we can add your event manually.
Why don’t I see my event yet?
Some events require a quick review to prevent spam or duplicates. If it’s been more than 24–48 hours, message support with the event name, date, and city.

Location

How location is used (and how to turn it on/off).

Why does the app ask for my location?
Location is optional and helps the app show nearby businesses and events. You can still browse without it by searching or selecting an area.
How do I turn location on or off?
On iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → BrightLoop Local → choose Never / Ask Next Time / While Using.

Notifications

Updates about events, announcements, and local highlights.

What kind of notifications will I get?
Notifications may include local highlights, reminders, or important community updates (depending on what you choose to enable). You can control notifications in your iPhone settings.
I’m not receiving notifications. How do I fix it?

Try this:

  1. Settings → Notifications → BrightLoop Local → turn on Allow Notifications
  2. Open the app once (some phones won’t deliver until first open)
  3. Update the app to the latest version

Troubleshooting

The app is slow or not loading. What should I do?

Start with the basics:

  • Switch between Wi‑Fi and cellular
  • Close the app and reopen
  • Restart your phone
  • Update the app

If it still happens, contact support with what you were doing and your iPhone model + iOS version.

I found a bug. How do I report it?
Send support a quick note with:
  • What you expected to happen
  • What happened instead
  • Steps to reproduce (if you can)
